2. Products and Descriptions

We take care to describe items accurately, including materials, dimensions, condition and relevant details where available. Images, colours and finishes may vary slightly depending on screen settings, photography and the natural character of materials.

Vintage, antique and restored items may show signs of age, use, repair, alteration or previous ownership. Such characteristics are part of their nature and will be described where materially relevant.

3. Prices

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Prices may be updated from time to time. The price payable is the price shown at the time an order is placed, subject to any error correction before acceptance of the order.

Where applicable, prices include VAT. If Sampson Mordan & Co. is not VAT registered, VAT will not be charged separately.

4. Orders

After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. This confirms that we have received your order. Acceptance of the order takes place when the item is dispatched, unless we notify you otherwise.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where an item is unavailable, incorrectly priced, incorrectly described, fails internal checks or cannot be supplied for another reasonable reason. If payment has already been taken, a refund will be issued.

5. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout. Orders are not dispatched until payment has been received and cleared.

We do not store full payment card details. Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers.

Orders will be delivered within 30 days unless otherwise agreed with the customer.

7. International Orders

International buyers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs charges and local fees payable in the destination country. We recommend reviewing local regulations before ordering.

8. Returns and Refunds

Items may be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided they are returned in their original condition and packaging. Personalised or custom-made items are not eligible for return unless found to be faulty.

If an item is faulty, damaged in transit or not as described, please contact us promptly with your order number and supporting details. We will review the matter and provide return or resolution instructions.

Any alteration, repair or resizing carried out by a third party may affect the condition, value, hallmarking status or return eligibility of an item.

11. Hallmarking and Precious Metals
